BetterBite — Investor Pitch Deck

BetterBite is a hypothetical business concept developed for an entrepreneurship course: an affordable healthy-grocery platform that connects customers with nutritionists and personal trainers. The project produced a full investor-style pitch deck covering the problem, solution, customers, product, business model, channels, and competitive landscape, and presented it as if to hypothetical investors.

The pitch identifies three problems: the "freshman 15" (60% of college freshmen see significant weight gain), obesity (40% of American adults), and food inflation (25.9% since 2020). It also notes that 28% of Americans who don't cook say it's because they don't know how, and that professional help is expensive — personal trainers average $55/hour and nutritionists $100/visit.

President & CEO (hypothetical role)

The concept keeps food affordable through low 15% markups (vs. 15–65% at competitors), monetizing instead through subscriptions and revenue sharing with professionals. The model partners with local farms for healthy ingredients, gives nutritionists and trainers a platform to build client meal plans, and delivers groceries after the meal plan is set. Marketing channels include influencers, social media, and local advertising on campuses and near gyms.

Researched the competitive landscape — stores (Costco, Whole Foods) and meal services (Factor, Hello Fresh) — and positioned BetterBite on an affordability vs. ease-of-eating-healthy map. Built and designed the 14-slide pitch deck and presented it in the CEO role.
